It’s been two weeks since I finished my study and back to work. I think that after 2.5 years leaving, this place would be better. But I guess I wrong.
I got three new bosses. The first one is the boss that is one level higher than me. Let’s call him A. My previous boss before A was rarely give an order to me. The type of boss that I’d call cannot work. Now, A sometimes gives order to me. But there’s something I don’t like from him. I’ve never given my work near the deadline unless it’s given to me in last minutes. In this way, I give him enough time to check my work and ask for revision. But I don’t know, somehow he just did not do that. Just last week he said my work is not right. And guess what.. He told me that just before the meeting was started and my work is used in that meeting. How could he??
The second boss is two level higher. I don’t know what to say since I’ve never like him to be a boss. my other colleagues said that he cannot don anything but sit in his cubical.
Here come my third boss, three level higher than me. Let’s call him C. I’ve never got any orders from him. There’s one memory that I’ll remember for sure. He saw me watching youtube during the work hour. Then he ask A whether or not he has given me a task. A, that know I know do not receive anyone blaming him, said that he’s given me a task. I answered that yes that’s true but I don’t have any tools to do that task. I don’t have computers. At the moment C ask his other staff to lend me a laptop to be able to work.
I’ll post later. Hopefully my other writing is not a complain.
I think being civil servant has killed all of creativity. I’ve seen this in my friends, my colleagues and even my boss I guess.
I’ve worked here for 4 years and 1 month. Even though during this period I spent more than half time to pursue my postgraduate (2 years and 8 months to have my degree conferred), I did not see any changes in this office. I’ve started to works for 5 days, and after observe my unit, I can conclude that all people still do the same tasks, still have the same routine, and even my unit still have the exactly similar activity. There’s nothing new here. Unless you count the new people and new computers.
Oh my God.
Seriously? We’re doing the same routine for four years (I don’t mind the period before I worked here). Can’t we do something new? Even all the tasks, have we ever evaluate the effectiveness of those tasks just to see whether these all beneficial for our country, for our people?
Have you heard this phrase: “Change or Die”. i just thing maybe some people have been dead. Not their body, but just their mind. We all lose our ability to create something new, to change something to be better. We all truly die as a thinker. Poor us.
So, I wanna change! Start from now if I can because this routine is killing me, literally.
Not much Adelaide’s story that I write. It’s not because these stories are not interesting, but it’s simply because I love all of activities that I did in Adelaide so that I just had little time to write. And when I had time, I mostly just write something on my social media.
Now, when I finally back to my hometown, I regret that I did not write so much all experiences there. Memories can dissapear somehow, but writing should be help me to hold and keep that memories. So, I’ll try to write these stories in the near future.
I just came two days ago, and I’ve already miss Adelaide.
I miss its extreme wheater,
I miss its food,
I miss its city,
I miss its clear air,
I miss its blue and bright sky,
And even I miss strangers that smile at me when I walked there.
Oh no. Now I just wanna cry remembering all of those.
For now, I just can hope that I’ll have other opportunities to be there again someday.
Experiencing its weather,
Eating its food,
Walkinh in the city,
Breathinh its air,
Seeinh its sky,
And even talking to and making friend with those stangers..
I just hope thay someday my path will cross this lovely city.
Akhirnya ngepost lagi soal makanan dan masakan. Yuhuu
– bawang merah 3-4 siung
– Bawang putih 2 siung
– Ketumbar 1/2 sdt
– Pala bubuk 1/2 sdt
– Lada 1/2 sdt
– Kemiri 2 butir
– jahe 1/2 cm
– Garam 1 std
– Cengkeh 3 buah
– Tomat (ukuran kecil) 2 buah
– Daging 250 gram
– Kentang 2 buah
– kecap manis 4 sdm
– Air 400-500 ml
Yak sepertinya sih cuma segitu aja bahannya. Kalau ada yang kurang nanti dilengkapin. Hihi.
Ini dia penampakan semurnya:
Masak semur ini simple sih.
1. Tumis bumbu halus hingga harum
2. Masukkan daging masak hingga berubah warna
3. Tambahkan air, kecap dan cengkeh. Tutup
4. Setelah 30 menit, cek daging, jika air mengering tambahkan kembali air dan masukkan kentang.
5. Masak kembali selama 30 menit. Tambahkan tomat.
6. Cek daging, jika sudah matang, matikan api.
Sekian. Tadaaaa. Jadi deh semurnya, yummeeehhh. Hihi. Sudah teruji sama teman2 dikosan.
Kalau masak pake bumbu sendiri tuh seneng. Soalnya rasanya kan belum terjamin. Jadi begitu tau rasanya enak, happy banget. Yeay.
Selamat mencoba buat yang mau..
I can’t believe that I can pass my first semester in Adelaide. All is well 😀
This semester will be my last semester in Adelaide and I just take two courses this semester. Then, I have soooo many times to explore Australia (I wish).
But I dunno why this semester I lost my energy to study and also to travel.
Even for my disertation, I am too lazy to find the supporting article and othet stuffs. Huft.
Will be back to write soon.
Ps. I have plan to learn how to made cake! Hopefully this plan works. See u, mates!
Lately, I’m interested in learning photography. There are several pictures that I took using my Nikon D5200. Yep, I use this camera. Sounds too good for the beginner, huh?
I don’t know anything about camera. therefore, when I was looking for camera, I seek advice from my friend. That’s camera is is recommendation. 😀
I really want to learn how to take a good picture. But somehow, I feel sooo
lazy busy these days. I’ve been working on many assignments. Never ending assignments.
however, I have something to tell here. I joined two extra programs here, Experience Adelaide and Talking Aussies. In experience adelaide program, I’ve been matched with Adelaidean family. This program is designet to make the student getting a real experience as Adelaidean. Sounds really exciting :D. I’ve spent two times with the family (husband and wife), really good people (they pay my lunch! hihi) and they invite me to attend they baby shower. I dont even know what it is and what should I bring for them. But I still have 1 month tu prepare it.
I’ll post later, I have a tute to catch
Another program, Talking Aussies, I’ve matched with a volunteer. But I have to wait until she contacts me. This program is designed to increase student’s ability in English. hopefully, my english get better every day.
I feel so stressful, hiks. This semester I take four courses: International Trade IIID, Resources and Environmental Economics, development Economis, and Challenges Facing Economic Policy Makers. Even though I only take for course, believe me, it is so hard to have leisure time.
All of this cource has so many assignments. There is no day that I spend without working on my assignment. Even though the proportion of those assignment is so small for my credit, the time that I should allocate to finish a bunch of assignment is taking forever 😥 but somehow I enjoyed it 🙂
I can believe that I can sit, read, browsing almost all long day only to finish my assignments. People change, yes, but I never heard that people change because of the assignments :))
Apart from those assignments, I find the lecture was so fun. I don’t know wheter it is because the lecturers look so friendly to the student, or because the lecture can make something that is not interesting becomes interesting enough to learn. Other interesting things that i find during this 3 weeks are the course material that is always available before the courses start. It gives the student plenty of chances to read in advance (kind of student that is not me, hihi). Another thing is, student can consult with the lecturer every week, because they have allocated time for the student to discuss anything.
Will be back to write soon!
